I realised that as you get older, you can hold conversations easier with your relatives. Im not sure about others or the way you were brought up but i see that in my case. As a child from a divorced family, i spent most of my younger days at my grandparent's. God bless their soul.
I remember not being able to really hold long conversations with my uncles or aunties. Not because there's complications inside or strict characteristics but more to like, them throwing the ball over and me not throwing back. Conversation wise.
After yesterday's camp out at east coast, i was able to do so. Evidently so, because, i was talking to them unlike i normally would. Being the eldest out of the 13 grandchildrens, i'd say, everyone is turning out fine. These cousins are definitely different then they used to be. I hope that everyone knows ill always be the Abg Yayan that they know. So to say, advices, stuff like that, they can call me. Like how Marina did.
Yes, nina, im talking about you. Better stop it arh..
My real dad, we used to be close. I guess i distanced myself from him as i grew older. I think he somehow feels it. Had a talk with him too. Im sorry but i wont write it here.
Kinda tensed huh. Lets lighten it up!
Have i mentioned that the storm cooked up by my aunties, ARE OUT OF THIS WORLD? Meatballs? I didnt know malays had meatballs. lol. The chicken curry. aww. Chng teng, tau suan. ASAM PEDAS. GEREK! Simply awesome! God, im salivating now. BBQued squids, fish, chicken. They dont deserved to be called camping out food. I was practically stuffing myself with food all the time. Although im sad and not to mention, utterly pissed with myself that i missed out on Bibik Mirah's sushi. Oh god. We ve gotta have a chalet next time. I wonder what magic can be done. Bibik Ana called out to the radio station to wish one of my cousin's birthday. When the dj asked where were we, Uncle Jai and me started making noises and the rest followed suit. hahah! She commented how lively our place were.. gosh.. Uncle Jai is seriously gonna kill someone one day with his antics. haha..
Oh, and Uncle Yus, is the guru of tentages. He's equipped. Its either medium, or its large. Its unfair to compare it to the marquee that i see at work lah.. but the tent that he put up, tied up, hanged up was enough for all. The biggest among the families there. I think as a trainer, my rope skills are a big joke compared to my uncle's. He lashed out quite a few that even i cant. Hands down.
Its fun that we re doing this after quite awhile. I had a blast. Too bad gramps could only just look from above. heh.. Ill upload the pictures if im not lazy. hahah!
IVE GOT 2 FRIKKIN WEEKS WITHOUT ANYTHING TO DO TILL THE NEXT CAMP!. ARHHHHHHHHHHHH!
