TTV was unique. SOC bought it over from mediacorp. The place is an old filming set, with buildings set back to post ww2 era. Its was cool and a little bit creepy too. If you can recall Ch 5's drama series, Growing Up. This place was where it was filmed at back then. The place was quite big than i expected it to be. Had my situation based test there. It was heck load of fun.
MPTTC was hell on earth. Okay, im exaggerating here but yeah, i lost gallons of perspirations while training there. Drenched. Haha.. However, most of the so called fun tests, were held here.
Fire confidence. I never knew how it felt to be engulfed in flames and of course, it was very hot. We were taught how to maneuver through fire and how to handle if we re handling either one of the three shields and without shields. A funny bugger got his eyebrows burned. haha..
Building entry and barricade clearance. Again with shields. Tyres, bricks, stones, empty metal drums we thrown at us while we cleared barricade or trying to enter the building. It was scary at first. When your holding a seemingly weak plastic-like shield and theres tyres and metal drums flying off to hit you. One thing i know after that, the chim hu-has that was told to us weeks earlier about the shield's durability was no joke. Of course, thank god it wasnt. lol.
lastly, i hate this part. Gas confidence. Test our gas masks and at the same time, to feel the effects of the gas on rioters. It wasnt fun. Burned like hell. Mucus, phlegm free flowed. No kidding. Sit inside for awhile and once your gas mask is confirmed working, you have to take out and say out your rank name and ic number and yes, breathe in. I never-ever want to do this again.
Left shoulder feeling like shit right now. I ignored it when i first felt it 2 days ago. Thought it would go off after a good night's rest. Actually, wanted to act macho la. Didnt want to report sick unnecessarily. lol. 4 more weeks to go, with a clean mc record. No disciplinary records. Who would? ahahahaha... take care people.
